Stronghold Supply, Inc. was founded in 1995, in Tampa, by Matt Botts and his wife, Kimberly. Matt had thirteen years experience working with one of

the largest tool and fastener suppliers in the state of Florida. Kimberly’s business and accounting experience was called on to round out the team.

Matt and Kimberly made the move to Virginia (Matt’s birthplace). With their newborn daughter, a handful of loyal customers from Florida, and no accounts established in Virginia, it was a big risk. They wanted to bring their Florida style of jobsite service to the Northern Virginia area. Working out of the garage and basement in their Shenandoah Valley home, it was soon evident a store location was needed and fast.

The first store opened in February of 1997, located in Manassas off of I-66 and Sudley Road. The company continued to grow along with the family as their son arrived in 1998. Stronghold Supply moved to its present location, 12189 Balls Ford Road, in November of 2002.

Taking the cue from the growing expansion in the Northern Virginia area, December of 2003 brought the opening of a second store in Front Royal, VA. This store provides the same service and knowledge found in our Manassas store.

The year 2007 began with the completion of a 5000 square foot warehouse in Front Royal (winning a 2006 Special Design Building of the Year award). Today there are five locations of stores and stocked vending warehouses in VA and FL, along with a team of well trained professionals.

As a family owned company, Stronghold Supply, Inc. continues to grow and to provide strong, quality service to its customers.
